PHILOSOPHY
The HID is not a username. It is not a session token. It is the permanent, forensic, geographic, cryptographic birth certificate of every identity that has ever existed inside the Harqahran system — whether human player, NPC, institution, government body, company, or registered asset.
A system this serious cannot produce identifiers that look like airport gate numbers. It must produce identifiers that read as statements of origin, carry their own verification, and resist every known attack against identity systems.

SEGMENT SPECIFICATION
Three characters, always uppercase. The namespace declaration.
Every identity in Harqah begins with HID. No other string in Harqah begins with HID.
Self-declaring format version. Current active version: V1.
Mandatory for forward compatibility. V2 is reserved for future upgrades (post-quantum checksum, off-world registration expansion).
Defines the entity type and its validation rules.
CITIZEN: human player. NPC: AI‑controlled entity inside PearlMind. INSTITUTION: registered organisation. ASSET: registered object. SYSTEM: internal Harqah infrastructure.
Full planet name. All current registrations are EARTH. Reserved: LUNA, MARS, ORBITAL. UNKNOWN is valid for VPN/masked origins.
No abbreviations.
Full continent name. Compound words for multi‑word names (e.g., NORTHAMERICA, MIDDLEEAST). Derived from registration IP. Permanent.
AFRICA, ASIA, EUROPE, NORTHAMERICA, SOUTHAMERICA, OCEANIA, ANTARCTICA, MIDDLEEAST, CARIBBEAN, UNKNOWN.
Full country name, uppercase, spaces and special characters removed. All 249 ISO 3166‑1 countries mapped.
Examples: UNITEDSTATES, DEMOCRATICREPUBLICOFTHECONGO, SAUDIARABIA. The lookup table is versioned; existing HIDs are never retroactively changed.
14‑digit UTC: YYYYMMDDHHMMSS. Exact second of HID generation.
Permanent birth timestamp. Provides first layer of collision defence.
5‑digit per‑second counter (per country, per class). Eliminates collision risk under high concurrency.
Resets each second. Supports up to 99,999 registrations per second per country per class.
8‑character block from a 33‑character set (A‑Z excluding O/I/S, 0‑9). 1.1 trillion possible combinations.
Cryptographically generated. O, I, S excluded to avoid visual ambiguity with 0, 1, 5.
2‑character checksum generated via a Modified Luhn algorithm for alphanumeric strings.
Validated first on every HID presentation. Rejects malformed or fabricated identities before any database lookup.
HID SIGNATURE (PUBLIC DISPLAY)
The full HID is never exposed to other parties. The public‑facing Signature condenses identity:

TRUST TIER SYSTEM
Every HID carries a mutable Trust Tier (0‑3) stored externally. It governs access to sensitive functions.

CITIZEN starts at Tier 0; INSTITUTION requires a founding CITIZEN with Tier 2; SYSTEM HIDs are always Tier 3.
ANOMALY FLAGS
Two live flags exist outside the HID string. Both can be raised independently; both raised simultaneously triggers automatic escalation.
- GEOGRAPHIC ANOMALY — Active IP diverges from declared country. Pattern analysis decides escalation; not punitive by default (travel/VPN understood).
- BEHAVIORAL ANOMALY — Activity inconsistent with baseline: impossible transaction speeds, HID‑sharing patterns, NPC logic tree failures, unauthorised transactions in institutions.

VALIDATION RULES
Before any database lookup, a HID string must pass these ten checks in exact order. Any failure causes immediate rejection.
- Prefix check: begins with
HID- - Version exists in registry
- Class exists in registry
- Planet exists in registry
- Continent exists in registry
- Country exists in versioned lookup table
- Timestamp is exactly 14 digits, valid date, not in the future
- Sequence is exactly 5 digits
- Entropy block is exactly 8 characters from allowed set (A‑Z except O,I,S; 0‑9)
- Checksum recalculated over preceding segments matches the stored checksum
REGISTRATION REVEAL SEQUENCE
When a new HID is issued, it is displayed segment‑by‑segment with a half‑second pause.
